Student group creation and management is now available to the superintendent, principal, and teacher roles. Student grouping allows users to create named groups of students out of the pool of students that they can access via EdInsight. Also, a number of the new reports take advantage of student groups as a parameter.

Clicking on "Create new group" takes the user to the group creation screen. Here the user indicates the name of the group and clicks "Save Group". To manage student groups, click on "Manage/Edit Groups" on the left menu.  This displays a list of groups that can be edited or deleted.

Student Demographics Maintenance Lesson Planner

More Images:
Student Demographics Maintenance is a feature in EdInsight that is used to update student information. There are five categories that are able to be assigned using this utility: IEP, Gifted, Economically Disadvantaged, Title 1, and Title 3. Sometimes data pulled from your district's student information system does not include this information for each student. Therefore, the Student Demographics Maintenance is meant to be an easy way to link this information to students within your district. It is important to have this information linked to your students so that reports within EdInsight can be run more accurately.

Find it in EdInsight:  SysAdmin > Maintain Data > Student Demographics

Miscellaneous Release Notes

EdInsight Users:
Please note that a number of stored procedures within the EdInsight System were removed from the database in an effort to rearchitect the system. There are no screen shots associated with this change, as it will not effect front-end functionality of the system.

Additionally, if you are looking for Individual Student Reports, they have been renamed within EdInsight for clarity purposes. Now, look for "Student Subject Reports."
