  SUMMARY  
 


OnHand Schools will provide technology leadership, advocacy and support for School Districts, Career and Technical Schools, and Intermediate Units to help them in their mission of improving the quality of education throughout their state.

There are four key goal areas that OnHand Schools considers vital to providing the technology support needed so that educators can help their constituent districts improve the quality of education.

OnHand Schools included a variety of yardsticks to track progress in reaching its goals in order to hold itself accountable for producing solid results on behalf of the students in the school districts that are members of the Quality Classroom Consortium which constitutes a large portion of the client base of OnHand Schools.

Uses for Vision/Mission/Goals:


To demonstrate what Onhand Schools can do for its school district, CTE and IU clients.

To establish a basis for measuring improvement.

To provide a framework for business plans, internal measures, and public reports.

To organize development of technology initiatives.

To help shape technology goal-driven business plans between School Districts and and the IUs.

To frame criteria for evaluating the pros and cons of OnHand Schools action.

  Our Vision




OnHand Schools will work cooperatively with each State's Department of Education, Intermediate Units, CTE Institutes and K-12 school districts to introduce technology that will enable all students to succeed in post-secondary education and career opportunities, to be effective life-long learners, and to participate actively in our democracy.

OnHand Schools will provide technology leadership, advocacy, and support for the work of the Department of Education, Intermediate Units, school districts, policymakers, and citizens in making the quality of education second to none.

  Our Goals

 
  Student Achievement
OHS will support our Intermediate Unit, CTE, and School District clients in applying technology to help all students meet their state Learning Standards. We will work together to close the achievement gap, while also nurturing the unique skills, talents, and gifts of each student.
 

Policies and Services
OHS will work with its clients to generate policies, programs, products, and services that support local district efforts to ensure student success.
 
  Fees
OHS will provide advocacy and leadership for cost effective technology products and consulting services for public schools.
 

Collaboration
OHS will work with partners in all sectors of government, education, and private enterprise to support continuous improvement of education.
